L1, L2, and L3 Price Ranking

L1, L2, and L3 are relative price ranks used in commercial bid comparison. L1 identifies the lowest quoted price, L2 the second lowest, and L3 the third lowest for the relevant item or comparison scope.

The ranking makes price position easy to scan, but it does not account automatically for quality, specification compliance, delivery risk, payment terms, or total cost of ownership.
